Joke all you want about CLI elitism, but he has a point about third-party software.
Have you checked what modern commercial "free" partition tools bundle into their installers nowadays?
- Background telemetry daemons that run at startup.
- Shady adware / browser hijacker offers checked by default.
- Root certificates injection for "analytics".
And the worst part? You spend 20 minutes setting up the partition boundaries, hit "Apply", and a pop-up appears: "To execute this operation, please purchase a Lifetime Pro License for $59.99/year!" It’s practically ransomware behavior.
If you won't use diskpart, at least use an open-source tool like GParted Live via USB, or stick to well-vetted standalone tools with zero background bloatware. Don't install proprietary junk just to resize a volume.
